# Meet Desidera -

your all-in-one solution for climate risk mitigation

Desidera is GreenAnt’s proprietary, AI-powered platform that harnesses the power of satellite data to transform climate risk mitigation and precision land management. It empowers users to optimize their operations, accelerates the evolution of green markets, and drives climate resilience through insights on soil, crop yields, flooding, and more.

## What is Desidera?

### What can Desidera analyze?

- Crop type, height, health, growth stage, and future yield forecasts
- Flood levels, flood risk forecasts, and drought risk
- Deforestation, forest degradation, forest type, and carbon sequestration
- Soil moisture, soil temperature, biodiversity indicators, and more

To produce these insights, Desidera analyzes satellite data with GreenAnt’s proprietary set of AI algorithms. This technology has been developed for over 20 years and yields an accuracy of up to 95%.

### What makes Desidera different?

Desidera analyzes radar satellite data from satellites. Unlike optical data, which are generated through satellite-captured images, radar data are collected through signal pulses that satellites send to the ground. This is a critical difference, as these radar signals cut through physical barriers—such as cloud coverage—that can impede the collection of optical data.

**Radar data “see” through clouds, tree coverage, pollution, and other visual obstructions.** Unlike optical satellite data, radar satellite data can be collected at any point in time regardless of weather conditions. This is especially relevant in areas of the world that are cloudy or smoggy; Southeast Asia, for example, experiences an average of 300 cloudy days a year.

Not only are radar data more reliable than optical data, they’re also more nuanced. Radar signals can tell us much more about a given area of land than a picture can.

- Radar data can register various indicators about objects on the ground, such as crop type and height; soil temperature and moisture.

Ultimately, Desidera’s insights, which are fueled by radar data, are both more reliable and more nuanced than solutions that are based on optical data.
